Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to protect our organization’s digital infrastructure and data assets. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying security risks, implementing protective measures, and ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards. You will work closely with the IT team to monitor systems, investigate security incidents, and enhance overall cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security breaches or suspicious activity.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Implement security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, including forensic investigations.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and trends.
• Provide security awareness training to employees.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure systems and applications are secure by design.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
• Knowledge of security tools, technologies, and frameworks (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Familiarity with operating systems, networks, and cloud security principles.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Ability to analyze and respond to security threats in real time.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and advising on security matters.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM.
• Experience with incident response and digital forensics.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
